MINUTES
Board of Directors Meeting
Valencia Hills Homeowners Association
Wednesday, May 2, 2007
CALL TO ORDER: Stephen Jenkins called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. The following members and guests
were present: Stephen Jenkins, Andy Tyzbir, Kathy Peer, Erika Eisenring, Linda Jenkins, Daniel Rodriguez, and
Leah Thompson.
ASSOCIATION MANAGER’S REPORT:
1. A request to reduce the association dues for a 2 – 2-1/2 year period during which the homeowner possesses
only a vacant lot was not approved.
2. The damage to the paseo mow curbs due to allowing the large trucks access onto the paseo while the trees
were being trimmed will be referred to the City of Santa Clarita. The Board acknowledged that it should be the
responsibility of the contractor who performed the work.
3. The Board discussed a homeowner’s complaint regarding the recent removal (and possible replacement) of
the paseo trees. The Manager explained that the trees that were removed posed a safety issue and were a liability
to both the Association and the City. The Board will tour the areas to determine whether there is a need to replace
any of the trees.
4. The Board reviewed requests from several homeowners that use the field as a “doggy park” to permanently
fix the area at the far end where dogs can escape. The Board agreed that the field is not, nor has it ever been,
designated as a “doggy” park. If you choose to use that area to run your dog(s) you should be in control of your dog
(s) at all times.

Senate Bill 61. The new election procedures were adopted by the Board on June 30, 2006.
